WHAT TIME IS THE DEPARTURE FOR FISHING?
Every Fishing Charter we normally start at 7:30 am. The return time depends on the charter you choose. If you select the full-day (8-hour) charter, you will return at 3:30 pm. The 3/4-day (6-hour) fishing charter returns at 1:30 pm, and the 1/2-day charter returns by noon.
CAN WE SHIP OUR FISH BACK HOME?
Experience for our clients who have been fishing in Guanacaste, can say that they have been able to ship it back home. I think if it is frozen and packed safely you could do it.
WHAT TYPE OF CHARTERS BESIDE FISHING DO YOU DO IN THE Gulf OF PAPAGAYO?

WHERE DO WE GO FOR FISHING?
There are many different fishing spots in the Gulf Papagayo for a fishing trip, including Bat Islands, Catalinas Island, and options for both offshore and inshore fishing. The boat ride to the first rooster fishing spot is just 10 minutes, while a deep-sea fishing trip is about a 1-hour boat ride.
ARE THE PRICES PER BOAT OR PERSON?
The boats indicate a maximum number of people that can be comfortable on board. Prices are established per boat and not per person. Some larger boats can accommodate up to 12 people, while smaller ones have a maximum of 4, depending on the size.
HOW DO WE PAY THE DEPOSIT FOR ANY RESERVATION, AND HOW MUCH?
It requires from $100 or more, it will depend on the size of the boat, there are different forms of payment. PayPal, you can also send us your information on the card via email, or can give us that information via cell phone.
WHAT DO WE NEED TO BRING ON OUR FISHING CHARTER?
It is important that you dress appropriately while are going fishing, the weather conditions sometimes are unpredictable, especially in the rainy season in Guanacaste. Our boats include everything necessary for a fishing charter. However, we have a few tips on what to bring with you on board: sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, a camera, and optional shoes. Also, bring clothes to protect you from the sun.
WHAT DOES THIS CHARTER INCLUDES?
For your comfort and privacy, all our boats are equipped with a cooler containing fruit, soft drinks, cold beer, and snacks. Lunch is also provided on full-day fishing trips! Additionally, all boats come with fishing rods, bait, and lures, plus a mate to assist you in catching, releasing, or cleaning your fish. Every boat is also equipped with a toilet and good shade.
DO YOU PICK US UP AT OUR HOTEL?
If you have already made a fishing reservation with us, you don’t need to drive to us! Papagayo Fishing will arrange to pick you up at the beach from your resort, so, if you are staying in Guanacaste, at a private village or hotel, we will coordinate with you to arrange a pick-up time by boat at the nearest beach.
